On occasion if the bike is very very worn out the costs can outweigh the benefit, I would always take the time to explain the possible pros and cons to my customers to give them the best options for them

if you love your bike then make it work. If you are on the fence about an upgrade let’s have chat about your options, sometimes I can make your bike more yours, or I can advise possible replacement options.

If you repair your bike rather than replace it you will lessen your impact on the environment by a considerable amount

• The manufacture of an average bicycle emits approximately 100kg of CO2e, around 55 times less than that produced by the manufacture of a small car. Riding a bicycle has a carbon footprint of around 20g of CO2 per kilometre, which is less than a tenth of those produced by a car.
